Administration of Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity Department was established pursuant to Royal Decree No. 37140, dated 14/8/1438 AH, which stipulated the creation of an independent department concerned with cybersecurity. Accordingly, the President of Jeddah University issued a decision on 14/7/1440 AH to establish this department, making it responsible for cybersecurity
The Department is committed to enhancing cybersecurity, protecting the University’s technical assets, and managing potential risks related to cyber threats to ensure the continuity of the University’s educational, research, and administrative operations. It also works to raise the level of compliance with cybersecurity controls, increase awareness, and foster a culture of security

Cybersecurity Department Objectives

​- Cybersecurity governance and raising awareness among Jeddah University staff. 

​​​- Protecting and preserving university data and ensuring secure and proper access to it. 

- Strengthening cybersecurity and defending against cyber threats. 

- Ensuring business continuity and recovery from cyber incidents. 

- Achieving compliance with the regulations of the National Cybersecurity Authority and relevant authorities.​
